California Law relating to verbal agreement to modify a previous signed contract. Verbal agreement involved increase in plaintiff's hourly rate from $70 per hour and plaintiff pays no taxes to $100 per hour and plaintiff pays all taxes. All payments prior to defendant's breach of contact were paid per the verbal agreement. What steps should I take to address this issue in a civil case pro per, and are there specific California cases where a signed original contract was modified verbally and the court agreed with the verbal modification?
