I am looking for a way out of my home lease in California. The home has a toxic mold problem, and we were not informed about the HOA existence/rules before moving in. We have had multiple issues with the HOA and would have never moved in had we known. There is also an insect problem, despite us having a pest control company for 5 months that we pay for. How can I address these issues to potentially terminate my lease?

My husband and I are under contract for a house where the sellers are contingent on finding replacement property. We’re set to close on 2/20, and they on 3/1. Their sellers also have the same contingency. If we close, even with this contingency in place, do we still own the home? Can they take it from us?

I was granted to amend my federal lawsuit. The date was signed off on Jan 12. Does federal law apply as state superior court law, of 5 days for mailing, where then I should have up to Feb 17 to submit my FAC, am I right? Also, since I sue the Police department and the chief, who do I serve the document to? At the police headquarters or the county of the city?
