Hi. I just want to make sure I understand the statute of limitations. The SOL runs out in Illinois 10 years after the last payment was made? So for example if the last payment was made June 15 2007 then the SOL occurs on Jun 15 2017?

I brought a spousal support suit against my ex common law spouse and received an interim one year support order. The judge gave me a year to decide what I wanted. I have now decided what I am asking for, but my ex has since changed lawyers. Who do I serve with the new documents? His first lawyer or his new lawyer? Additionally, when I submit my support order, will the judge address my request for the return of monies my ex took from me, or do I have to submit for a different order?
