I used Bill Me Later (BML) for a down payment on a timeshare. I tried to cancel the timeshare contract 12 days after signing it but Wyndham Vacation Resorts refused to honor the request because it was two days late, due to a snowstorm that delayed my return. I refused to make payments and later agreed to a deed in lieu of foreclosure. However, the timeshare company says I still have to pay BML, which has been charging me late fees and interest, increasing the original $3,900 to about $5,500. I wrote to BML but they said I still have to pay them. Is there a way to dispute this charge, especially since I've been trying to cancel the timeshare contract from the beginning and never used the timeshare?
