My car was totaled in an accident that was not my fault 3 weeks ago. The other insurance company only wants to pay the blue book value of the car, $2,950.00, while I still owe GMC finance $4,200.00. Do I have any legal right to ask the other insurance company to at least pay off my totaled vehicle's outstanding balance and provide the $2,950.00 for a down payment on a similar vehicle to what I had?

We are a non-profit organization that provides residential services to adults with developmental disabilities. We have always had a HIPAA authorization for the purpose of our newsletter and website which show photos of clients at various activities. In the past, my understanding was the maximum time limit for the authorization was one year. We are about to distribute our authorization forms for another year. Is the maximum time limit for a HIPAA authorization still one year or has that increased?

The previous owner is trying to reclaim the property. What legal steps can I take to correct the purchase price and protect my ownership?

My son and car were hit by rocks thrown by a small gas station employee. The employee admits to doing it and shows no remorse. My son is three years old and had to learn about meanness, while my one-year-old was just scared. The gas station lady thought I did a gas run, but it was prepaid. What should be done in this situation?
