Can my ex-wife, whom I was married to for 1.5 years, have my social security benefits garnished for unpaid spousal support? The SSA says they will not garnish my benefits unless I was married to her for at least 10 years. They also mentioned they can garnish for child support, which we had no children. She lives in New Iberia, LA, and I live in Arizona. I have tried to obtain an attorney multiple times but have not been successful.

I'm an author and Google is crediting another author with the same name with having written my book. I'm in California, and the other author lives in Australia.
