Can my mandatory minimum paid drug fines be ruled excessive in Pennsylvania? I owe $92,000 after serving a 7 to 10 year sentence from 2008. I make monthly payments but would like to see if they can be waived or reduced. I am concerned that my daughter may have to sell my house to repay the remainder after my death. I had no prior convictions, was set up by a confidential informant, and received three concurrent sentences totaling 7 to 10 years for three drug sales. I have no misconduct in prison, no parole violations, and faithfully pay $20 a month. I own a small home and am grateful, but I don't know if my fines disappear upon my death or if my estate has to repay them.
