I am interested in a Chinese lady I met online. We have been talking for about 2 years. I want to bring her to the U.S. to get married, but she claims China requires $11,000 on hand for anyone leaving the country before a passport is issued, to ensure safe travel back. She wants me to send the money and she will return it as soon as I pick her up at the airport. I have been scammed before and cannot take her word for it. Can anyone verify if this is true or direct me to someone who can help, such as someone at the Chinese Embassy who speaks English?
