Does a creditor filing a motion to change venue, due to the current venue being improper, put a stay on the rest of the bankruptcy proceedings? If so, where can I find the rule or law to cite it? A creditor filed such a motion, and shortly after, the Trustee filed a motion to dismiss for a late monthly operation report, setting a hearing. I thought the motion to change venue would essentially put a 'stay of proceedings' on the entire case until the court decided if it had jurisdiction to move forward. Does this stay apply to all proceedings, including creditor meetings and the initial debtor conference?

I received a letter from a collection agency regarding a security deposit dispute with a former landlord in Boulder, Colorado. I disputed the claim as the charges are excessive and I did not take before and after pictures. What will the collection agency do now? Will they sue me in small claims court, and if so, how can I defend against this? Would they win even if they don't have pictures or any evidence, as it's just their word against mine?

I stayed in a hotel in Memphis, Tennessee, and contracted unknown parasites, including lice, fleas, and ticks, on January 26th of this year. I am still dealing with the issue and have been referred to the Center for Disease Control. Is there a statute of limitations due to hotel neglect, and what steps should I take to address this?
