I am a tenant in Oklahoma living at Atria Luxury Apartments since April. My car was stolen in July and my truck was broken into/vandalized twice. Many other tenants have also complained about vehicle break-ins. I was told this was a safe place with no issues upon moving in. I can't continue to live here knowing there is a good chance my vehicles will be vandalized again, costing me thousands of dollars. I put in my 60-day notice to leave and was told I also have to pay two months' rent after that. I don't understand how I should have to pay this early termination fee with the circumstances. Was supposed to be out by December 18 but I was out on November 18 and would have sooner because I can't trust my things there to be safe any longer. Is there anything I can do?

My grandson invited a friend to stay a few days because he had nowhere to stay. He has been here for 8 weeks now, and I have asked him several times to leave, but he has not. I want to know how to get him to leave, as I cannot afford to have another person living here. I am retired and living on a fixed income. What state are your grandson and the friend in? It matters because laws vary by location. What steps has he taken so far? Anything else you want the Lawyer to know before I connect you?

Can my landlord hold me responsible for paying for mold inspection and mold remediation when it is not due to my own fault but a leaky door/dripping walls/leaky roof? The landlord has not addressed these issues and the property lacks proper permits for renovations, affecting habitability.
