I am an American citizen currently in Israel without a valid visa. My passport expired more than 5 years ago, and I am afraid to go to the American embassy to renew it due to potential arrest or deportation by Israeli authorities. I am also concerned about being detained or sent to a mental hospital upon returning to the United States. What can I do to renew my passport and return to the U.S. legally without facing severe consequences?

I was evicted from a property in Denver, Colorado, where I was still paying rent and had updated my contact information with the landlord. My property was found in the trash, and I was never contacted about the eviction, a break-in, or any damage. What are my rights, and what steps can I take to address this situation?

My grandson has been in jail for seven months, and his public defender hasn't visited him or taken any action on his behalf, including attending court or pursuing a bond reduction. This is a serious case, and I'm concerned about his representation. What can be done to address this issue?

I was placed on PTI a year ago and completed all requirements, including paying fines. However, due to a misunderstanding with my PTI officer and missing an appointment due to a family emergency, I was reported as not completing my terms. I missed my court date and have been unable to get a response from the public defender's office. I cannot afford to hire an attorney and need to avoid jail as I have two children, one of whom requires round-the-clock care due to a serious medical condition. What can I do to resolve this situation?

Is an OOP (order of protection / stay away order) considered definitive proof of there being a definite contact prohibition if the order in question has a special clause that specifies that another court (e.g., family court) will have full discretion as to what type of contact should be permitted or prohibited, for the sake of this order as well? In other words, does an ADA meet his legal prosecutorial burden of proving that in-fact a certain conduct was definitely prohibited, by showing only such a court order? Without also accompanying it with an exhibit from family court that clarifies that the said conduct was in-fact prohibited by family court, at said day and place etc. etc.?
