I am an OB-GYN, and another doctor, a maternal-fetal medicine doctor, has been documenting in patient charts since 6/1/19 that I have been seeing and evaluating his patients. I have never seen these patients, and he doesn’t physically see them either; he only directs residents over the phone. No doctor is seeing these patients, and the hospital is billing Medicare. What can I do to protect myself?

When buying an existing business in Connecticut, do I need to keep the existing employees, and if I keep them, can I let them go later if I don't like them? Also, does it make a difference if I keep them part-time vs. full-time? Additionally, if I'm a 40% owner in the business and one of the 20% partners has been withdrawing money from the business account without our knowledge, can we remove her from authorized bank use without legal repercussions?

I moved into an apartment with severe damages causing interior flooding due to a broken balcony door. I reported the issue immediately but have received no clear timetable for resolution. The repairs required include replacing the entire balcony door and frame, pouring new concrete, re-laying bricks, and replacing the living room carpet. The landlord suggested moving to a different unit, but I cannot move alone and doubt they would cover the moving costs. What legal steps can I take to address this issue and ensure timely resolution?

We purchased a mattress from Value City Furniture on August 9, 2019, but upon delivery, it had large lumps and was not the same mattress we ordered. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, the store keeps delaying the resolution by citing employee vacations. The receipt indicates an 'as-is final sale,' but this was not communicated to us, and the mattress delivered is not the one we ordered. What legal actions can we take to resolve this issue?

I am in Utah and have not talked to anyone else. The annuity was purchased from my insurance agent, and I only have a brochure.
