We have lived in Tapestry - Woodland Hills, Tulsa, OK for over two years. The attraction for us - and most of the other 100 residents - to Tapestry was no mandatory meal expenses. Meals have been left up to each tenant to eat out or cook in. Each apartment has a full kitchen. On November 16, 2017, we were told that Tapestry has been sold; the new owners 'Cedarhurst Senior Living' plan to spend $$$ to put in a central Dining Room, Big Kitchen and Staff, and raise our monthly rent by $1400 per month to pay for meals that none of us want. Do we have recourse?

My husband and I lease property for our dental practice and are currently behind on our rent. We received a notice from the Sheriff's Department that we have until Monday at 10:30am to remove our dental equipment and vacate the property. We haven't been offered a chance to appear in court to discuss our reasoning for past due rents, despite sending smaller payments to our leasing company. How can we file a motion to stay or get more time before they can evict us?

I sold a dog to a lady with a spay contract agreeing she would spay the dog and not breed her. I also sold with limited AKC registration. She is now breeding the dog. My contract states I can take the dog back and sue for damages and legal fees. Is it possible to sue her for breach of contract in addition to the money she will make off the puppies? I have the contract and her admission that she is breeding the dog and broke the contract.

I want to sue my ex-girlfriend for mental, emotional, and financial damages. She knowingly and purposefully baited me into signing a lease for a house with her under the pretenses of starting our lives together and merging our families in a loving and monogamous relationship, while she was still involved sexually with other men. I discovered her infidelity through audio recordings and confronted her, but she denied any wrongdoing and accused me of being crazy. I continued to record the house and found further evidence of her infidelity, including her and her lover taunting me by banging on the walls near my audio recorders. This behavior has caused severe emotional distress and I want to hold her accountable, especially for the sake of our child. What can legally be done in a case like this in Georgia?

Can we sell our existing LLC to a newly created non-profit for a nominal fee (like $1) if we want to keep the LLC under the umbrella of the non-profit as a subsidiary to properly segregate unrelated business income?
