I filed a garnishment at a local main branch of Chase Bank, but they are requiring me to serve them in Dallas through a 3rd party. They won't put a hold on any account without me sending a service out of my city (Austin) and serving them in Dallas. Doesn't this change venue, and why do I have to serve a third party 'processing' agent? I have a final judgment against the party whose bank account I want to garnish. Could someone clarify this?
