I filed an In Forma Pauperis (IFP) application and learned via phone call that it was denied, with the Deputy Clerk stating 'you make too much money.' I have not received a written copy of the denied motion, as required by law. I am concerned that the Judge may not have seen my IFP application, and the Clerk decided I was not eligible on their own, which is contrary to law. Should I contact the Clerk for a copy of the denied motion, or is filing a writ of mandamus with the Appellate Court a more appropriate next step?

I was in the hospital and under stress when I was misled into signing a document that I thought was just for information purposes, but now I find out it's a binding contract to sell my home for far below its worth. I was told I could back out at any time, but now I'm being threatened and feel completely taken advantage of.
