I go to Boston College and our rooming policy states that we cannot have any alcohol or alcohol-related paraphernalia in our room. Our RA confiscated a folding table from our closet, claiming it was used as a 'gaming table,' despite our use of it as a dinner table. The rooming policy does not explicitly allow the school to take folding tables without compensation. Could I theoretically sue the school for taking our table without compensation?

If someone files a restraining order on a person knowing that they have the person's property in their residence, can they dispose of it? If the order was issued on 08/17/2010 and lapsed on 08/17/2011, and the person contacted the other party to ask for their property back, but was told that the property had been disposed of because it was left on their property for over 90 days, can the person sue for the $50,000 worth of tools and electronics that were disposed of?

After 40 years, my job is being eliminated at the end of this year. I will receive 6 months of severance pay but wonder about collecting unemployment. I am 62 and had planned on working until I was 65 and eligible for Medicare. Can I apply for unemployment after my severance pay runs out?

I was adjusting my parking in a Walgreen's parking lot. The lights of the car across from me were not on. When I was ready to pull back into my spot, the other driver hit me. She says we were both backing up and were equally at fault. Her insurance company believes her. As I live in CO (a '49% rule' state), my insurance company says they don't wish to pursue this. My company adjuster, who looked at the photos of the car, led me to believe I'd get all of my deductible back. What are my options and should I accept that I won't get any of my deductible back?

My wife was granted a PFA against me. During the temporary order, she entered my apartment and took several items. Can she be charged with anything? She has also failed to return other items that the judge ruled in the final order. We are currently separated and living apart. The final order from the PFA stated that she was supposed to return items to the Sheriff's office, which she never did - apartment key, car key, all military items (she requested nothing). The dates are as follows: she received the temp PFA on 12 Oct, entered the apartment on 13 Oct, and the final order was on 18 Oct. Divorce has not been initiated. She took pictures, jackets, and deleted items from my computer.
