I had a dispute with a neighbor who accused me of speeding and threatened me. The police sided with him and issued me two tickets. I want to know what legal actions I can take, including pressing charges against my neighbor and fighting the tickets, and whether it's worth trying to get a restraining order.

I am suing my employer for unpaid wages. My employer has counter-sued, claiming I didn't pay for services, which I can prove I did. Since I work for the same franchise (a different owner), are false statements made to the court libelous? Additionally, should I file an answer to the counterclaim before the court date?

I purchased a timeshare in Mexico and had 5 days to cancel, plus an addendum gave me 2 weeks to cancel without penalty. I canceled both within the 5 days and the 2 weeks. However, I was told I could not cancel because I signed an instant activation letter which I was not provided a copy of. Is it illegal by Mexican law to knowingly provide me with such an addendum when they fraudulantly have some piece of paper signed that supposedly will not allow me to cancel?

Does a conflict of interest exist if the president of a 501c(3) charitable organization, which holds events solely for donation purposes, is also the president and owner of an insurance and financial advisory company that handles the insurance for the motorcycle group, without having been approached about this during their Vice-president position?

I am a minority owner in a business and a closeted homosexual. I made the mistake of dating an employee, which has led to issues including a hostile work environment and his threat to sue the company for a hostile work environment if I didn't make it easier for him. I have since paid him almost $9,000 out of my pocket for various things. He has now escalated his threats. Once the majority owner finds out about this, he will most likely fire me. Is there anything I can do?

The contractor, while installing a pool, damaged the main water line to the house, which was clearly visible but about a foot underground. The contractor claims that the homeowner is responsible for all underground utilities according to the contract. Does the contractor have a responsibility to do careful work if they know where the line is located, and does continuing to work mean they accept the results of their actions?
