I had aftermarket work done on my car at a shop called Total Appearance, which installed train horns with a one-year warranty for parts failure. Recently, the air compressor and fittings broke, causing the horns to stop working. The shop has failed to repair the issue multiple times and now, after completing work without my approval or informing me of the cost, they are demanding I pay $500 before they release my car. They also refuse to admit that the parts failure is their fault. Do I have to pay, and is there a way to get out of the fees since I never authorized the work?
