I had let a friend stay in my apartment with me for about a month. Paid a bit towards rent and stuff. Then it didn’t work out and I told him to leave. He is invoking squatters rights and threatening to take me to civil court if I get him and possibly myself evicted saying I’d have to end up paying him to live there. We are not married he gets mail at my place but nothing else everything else is mine. How can I get him out and if he could really sue me for evicting him? It’s my home and he threatens all of this when I don’t let him use my car. My car.
