I have a child with my ex-wife and pay monthly child support. We recently moved to WA from AK and got behind in payments while settling in. I made a decent amount of money working a prevailing wage job from June to September and want to pay off my child support debt. I also want 50-50 custody of my son since I've been paying for most of his bills and he's been with me most of the time. My ex-wife is not opposed to this. However, due to the amount I made over those four months, I'm worried that changing the order will result in me paying more than I currently do. I'm not making that money anymore and only get 29 hours a week due to a work injury. Should I go ahead with the 51/49 custody and pay off the child support debt, or just pay off the debt and leave the order as it is for now?

We served our roommate the Texas Notice to Quit for failure to pay rent. She believes she has 30 days to retrieve her property if she leaves and is threatening police action if we remove any of her items after the 3 days from the notice. Does she have any legal ground to stand on?

520.019(J) from Massachusetts LTC Medicaid regulations states that proceeds from a home equity loan or a reverse mortgage transferred in the month of receipt will be considered a disqualifying transfer of resources if transferred for less than fair-market value. What HECM loan proceeds are transferred in a subsequent month? Additionally, if a reverse mortgage becomes due and payable when all title is transferred, would retaining a life estate mean that not all title would be transferred?

Can I sue my mother for my items being damaged in her basement due to a sewer back up, which flooded the basement and the insurance sent an itemized check for my belongings, but she refused to give me the money? I am located in Queens, New York, and she agreed to give me the check from the insurance if I put my belongings on the claim, which I did, but then she refused to give me the money.
