I have a concept to solve the overcrowding and high cost of American prisons by partnering with Mexico to build and service prisons based on our specifications, housing American prisoners separately from Mexicans, with surprise visits to ensure standards. After winning a Title VII case at the appellate level, I signed a confidentiality agreement 12 years ago. I don't understand the boundaries of this agreement and am unsure if I can discuss the events without mentioning the company's name. The appellate decision is publicly available online, which makes me question the confidentiality's effectiveness. What kind of attorney can clarify this agreement, and how do I determine if the court sealed any records or if discovery and depositions are considered public record?

Regarding the timely requirement in procedure for Motion for Summary Judgment per CCP 437c, is it lawful to ask to postpone the trial date in order to gain extra time for the 75 days? Additionally, if a defendant made a false statement in an appeal court that suppressed the appeal, but later reversed that statement in the trial court, is that a basis to reopen the appeal? Furthermore, is it true that trial courts have so much local power that higher courts rarely reverse them regardless of the wrongs?
