I am a practicing dentist who received a summons from Peoria small claims court in Illinois regarding a patient I saw when I was practicing there. The plaintiff has made unfounded claims. I am now practicing in Texas. What type of attorney should I consult for this situation, and do I need an attorney to represent me in small claims court? Additionally, could this case impact my credit report?

I purchased auto commercial insurance and put down 25% as a deposit. I was not informed about a 30% earn-out requirement. I received the insurance on 9/25/21 and requested cancellation on 11/1/21.
