My roommate had allegations reported to CYFD about her and myself. By a family member who assaulted her earlier the same day. The part involving myself were allegations of drug use in the home and that without my knowledge my son was being allowed to drink when I was at work. My son doesn't live with me at this residence. He lives with my parents. However, he was visiting on my days off Saturday and Sunday. I went to work late Sunday night and was supposed to take him home Monday after I woke up. So he was there when CYFD arrived. The CYFD rep and a police officer went through the house and entered my room stating that because I wasn't on the lease they only need my roommate's permission to look. I followed them in the searched my room. They only found a weed pipe but the reporter said we were smoking meth. They didn't take the weed pipe or take photos of anything. They just stated both my son and myself were required to go in for a drug test, even though my child does not live with me we were required to go in for a drug test. I've never had any dealings with CYFD and I have no criminal record at all. Do I have to or need to comply?
