I have been served a civil summons in Williamson County, Tennessee for a written-off debt of $13,779 by Javitch Block. The debt was incurred in April 2018. I do not disagree that I owe the amount, but I have attempted to settle (July 2020), but no response was received until the summons served yesterday. What are my options as I continue to lack the ability to pay in full on demand?

Can a landlord require a doctor's letter stating I need a service dog? I am hearing impaired and my dog is my ears. We live in South Carolina. I have certification for the dog and I am a professional trainer, but I know I don't have to provide certification for the dog. I have three trained dogs, each performing a function to help me live comfortably by hearing what I cannot.

We purchased a home in Vermont and had to get propane and oil set up, which required an inspection. For eight months, we could smell propane and needed frequent propane deliveries that should have lasted 4-6 months. During this time, family members experienced headaches and nausea. Finally, a technician found four major leaks in the piping system, stating it should have been changed 'a long time ago.' We were told to hold onto all receipts and were later asked to pay $157, which we believe is unjust due to the dangerous situation we were put in. We have contacted the company but have not heard back. What should we do about this situation?
