I have been with my fiancée for a year and a half now. She has finalized her divorce and is from Nicaragua, having entered the U.S. illegally. A judge in California dismissed her case due to DHS failing to provide proper paperwork. This does not make her legal and complicates my ability to acquire papers for her to marry. Should I marry her before dealing with immigration? We both live in Illinois.

What happens if I didn't get permits for work on an existing property and now I want to get things right? The work includes adding a long pole barn dog kennel, two portable temporary buildings with an attached awning for shade, and a carport on the back of the house. I haven't received any notices or citations from local authorities, but I'm worried about potential consequences and want to resolve the issue.

My Business LLC was sued for unpaid rent. My landlord has obtained a default judgment against my LLC and me. Can I have it vacated because I was not served? Additionally, can I be personally liable for this debt, and can I file the motion to vacate the judgment myself without an attorney?
