I hired a painting company to paint the exterior of my house. One of the painters broke a chunk off the wooden window frame while moving a ladder. The painters initially refused to take responsibility but later agreed to fix it. However, they have not made any attempts to repair the frame. Should I pay them after they finish the painting job, or should I withhold payment until the frame is repaired? Should they charge me extra if they repair it, or am I responsible for the frame?

The contractor is fully liable for the damage they caused to the window frame, regardless of its age...

I think I've been scammed through Craigslist by someone who threatened me with solicitation of a minor. They asked me to go to CVS and load up a card with money. I sent them $600. What should I do?

My husband fell off our porch trying to enter our apartment, which has a 2-step process without a railing. I requested the landlord to install a railing, but they said we would have to pay for it, the contractor, and its removal if we move out. Why don't they have to pay, and isn't it their responsibility to protect their residents?

Erin Capital Management obtained a judgement against me in 2006 for a defaulted credit card debt from 2004. In 2017, my bank placed a balance hold on my accounts, and I discovered that a Florida attorney filed a writ of garnishment against me and my bank. However, the attorney sent the Certificate of Service to the wrong person, my father, who has the same name. Do I have any legal grounds to dissolve this writ of garnishment or the judgement altogether?
