I injured my knee, and the doctor suspects a meniscus tear, providing me with a modified duties letter for work. My employer, a large hospital, asked me to leave the premises immediately upon HR receiving the letter. I am an 'at-will' employee without union representation. What are my rights as an employee, and how can I present this to HR to get back to work?

I filed a motion to modify child support in response to my ex-wife’s motion to dismiss for lack of prosecution. I’ve been issued discovery by her attorney but it has nothing to do with their motion. Does the discovery have to pertain to their motion to dismiss for lack of prosecution?

I hit a 1986 Toyota Corolla with a U-Haul moving truck 2 months ago. I was not covered under my husband's insurance at the time of the accident. The owner initially agreed to let me pay $100 a month for 12 months to cover the $1200 damage, but now the nephew claims to be the owner and is threatening to take me to court if I don't pay the full amount within 2 weeks. I'm in Illinois Cook County. What should I do, and can the judge put a hit and run on my record if we go to court?

Can my wife and I, as co-owners of a house, sign a rental agreement without the consent of a third co-owner who is out of state and has not been involved in the property for years? Additionally, if we want to do a Lease/Option arrangement with two separate contracts, would we need the third owner's signature for the option agreement?

Is jewelry design copyright only protected for the image and not the process of turning the image into a product? If our design is not entirely the same as another, and we use different materials, are we still at risk of copyright infringement?
