I live in a mobile home park in Marlboro, MA. I own the house but rent the land. I sold the house to a company, but the park manager broke the contract. Since then, I have become disabled and have been in a nursing home for long-term care. The management is unsympathetic, and I have to pay $967 monthly for the land. I have no money and am three months late on rent. I have listed the house for sale with their permission, but it needs a lot of work. I also have a cat that I can't catch, so I can't stop paying rent. What can I do if I can't afford to pay the rent, and what would happen if I just walked away?

I am renting office space in Tennessee, and my base rent has remained the same since I started. A new property manager is asking me to pay double the base rent or leave the space. No new contract has been provided. Is it legal for the property manager to do this?

We hired an estate attorney in early 2021 and paid the final bill in April 2022. One month later, the attorney sent a revised final bill for an additional $5,200 due to an error by his former secretary. The fee agreement was based on retainers of $2,500 each, and no specific total amount was agreed upon. The attorney accepted a second retainer in February 2022 and did not request another until the final bill was sent. The final bill was $8,160, less $5,000 of retainers previously paid, for a total of $3,160, which we paid. The revised final bill now asks for an additional $5,200. What should we do in response to this latest demand for payment?
