I live in California and had a default summary judgment in 2001. The plaintiff renewed the judgment but never served me nor filed the Proof of Service (POS) or POS-30 with the court. Now, 9 years later, a writ was granted from that judgment. We have filed a motion to have the reinstatement dismissed. What are the chances of having this reinstatement dismissed, and how does this affect my credit and the Fair Credit Reporting Act?

My student was approached by three female teachers on a field trip to the movie theater, who insisted she pull her bra off her chest in the hallway to prove she didn’t have a vape. This incident has caused my student to feel violated and targeted, especially since there were other students present. The school has a bad reputation for bullying, including from teachers, and there have been suicides at the school. I am in Arkansas, and I have tried talking to the principal and seeking a transfer, but the transfer was denied. What steps should I take to address this issue, and are there local attorneys who could take this case?

My ex is ordered to not drive without our daughter in the car when she doesn't have a license, which she got back but is now suspended again and has 3 failure to appear charges. Do I have to give my daughter to her at drop off if she is the one driving? Should I have a police officer meet me to have it documented? We live between 3 and 4 hours apart, so the meeting location is about an hour and a half to 2 hours away, and if she gets pulled over, my daughter will be stuck in the middle of Florida waiting for me to get back to her.

On May 4th, I was shot in my house while watching TV. Someone came through the backyard and shot me through the French doors. I was able to return fire, which saved my life. The police took my gun while I was in the hospital. I stayed in a hotel out of fear, and a friend gave my wife one of his registered guns for protection. The hotel called the police, who told me to leave because I have a felony from 9 years ago. I was arrested for felony possession. What should I do?
