I live in New York State and my husband asked for a divorce. He claims the mobile home we live in is his and plans to sell it, stating I can't do anything about it because the title is in his name. The mobile home was bought 12 years ago and is paid for. We have been married for 18 years. Can he do this?

My mother has been married to her 6th husband since 1988, but they have been separated since about 1995. The separation is not legal. My mother's will and burial policy are in my name. Her health insurance is paid by her husband. He also has a life insurance policy on her despite saying he doesn't. When she passes, will he be able to collect the life insurance he carries on her and not have to pay any funeral costs? Will he need an original death certificate, and if so, won't I be given all the originals I request at the time of her death; thus he can't get another original to collect? If he has a policy and does collect, is there any way to bring that fact to light?

I work for a company that is contracted through another company, which is demanding my social security number be entered into their computer system. I have refused due to security concerns, and now my company is threatening to fire me. I have given them my driver's license number, but they insist on my social security number. Can you provide any advice?
