I live in Tennessee and have written a book. I will pay a printer to print the book, and a distributor will market and sell it, collecting money from retailers. I will receive a percentage of the retail price from the distributor. I do not want to start a business but will technically be the 'publisher' of the book. My questions are: 1) Can I use a business name like 'Monette Publishing' for advertising and image purposes without buying a county business license? 2) Can my checks from the distributor be made out to William L. Monette, dba Monette Publishing?

How do I write an official letter for a doctor to sign, stating that my son's health is being detrimentally affected by his current living environment in a college dorm due to alcohol and drug involvement, and that he needs to move home under supervision? The landlord requires specific terms in the letter to accept it for breaking the lease.

I'm a restaurant owner in NJ. My landlord breached our settlement agreement by not fixing the roof and parking lot by August. I withheld rent to force repairs, but now he's threatening to terminate my lease if I don't pay the withheld rent in 10 days. I want to terminate the lease due to his breach, but there's one more year left on the lease, and he might demand nearly $100,000 for the remaining year. What can I do to safely terminate the lease?
