I live in Washington State and received a request for a summary judgment from a company called Accelerated Inventory Management, who bought a charged-off account. I’ve never interacted with this company. Can they sue me for a debt I didn’t directly sign with them? Can they serve my 11-year-old when I wasn’t available and claim proper service? Did Washington state pass a law during Covid prohibiting agencies from collecting past debts? If they show my loan number but the contract and supporting evidence have incorrect loan numbers, can I request to dismiss the case based on that inaccurate information?
