I'm being sued and I don't have a lawyer. I'm representing myself and I know I'm not at fault for what the plaintiff is trying to sue me for. I want to answer with a denial and an affirmative defense. How do I ask for more time to respond to the summons? I was served through the mail on March 4th, and I'm in Riverside County, but the incident happened in El Centro. Does that matter?
