I need help getting out of a commercial lease in Ohio that my business can't afford. The landlord forced me into a larger space two years ago, and now the rent has doubled, putting me over my head. I am current on rent, but all my staff has quit, and I was forced to move into a space I can afford. The lease has three years left, and I didn't sign it personally, but my husband did. The lease does not have an early termination clause, and the landlord is not in breach. Additionally, the lease restricts me from selling hair or wigs, which is a significant part of my business. What options do I have to get out of this lease, and can I file for bankruptcy on the lease balance?
