I am opening a new yoga studio in Knightdale, part of a franchise based in NJ. In NJ, they exchange 3 hours a week of an individual's time to help in the studio for an unlimited yoga membership. The cost of the membership and benefits is more than the number of hours per month x minimum wage. Is it legal under FLSA to do this?

Is there anything I can/should say to try to get the fine reduced, considering I am retired, almost 71 years old, and on a fixed income? I was very preoccupied when I parked and thought I parked next to the handicapped space, but I parked in the space.

We had a property damage claim against the county. They refused to pay it and don't know the reason for the rejection. Do they have to provide this information? Also, can we file a small claims action against the county? The damage was about $5000 and was caused by plugged culverts across the street that the county has not maintained for the last two years, resulting in our property being flooded.

My 15-year-old Lhasa Apso dog went missing from the pet sitter's house while we were on a family vacation. The pet sitter had another dog there we did not know about, and that dog got out, leaving the door open and allowing my dog to escape as well. We found her through the Rover app. What legal recourse do I have?
