I owned a retail location in Evansdale, IA, that sold glass pipes and other items. The city police considered the items drug paraphernalia in 2009, leading to the store's closure. The Iowa Court of Appeals ruled in 2014 that unused glass pipes are not drug paraphernalia. I am considering re-opening a location in Evansdale to sell and manufacture glass pipes, as well as pipes made from other materials. Would the city be able to close my business again? Should I get an attorney on retainer before re-opening? Should I have an attorney contact the city beforehand?

I want to appeal the Texas Workforce Commission's (TWC) decision that my Social Security Number (SSN) is invalid, which led to the denial of my unemployment benefits. I have the correct SSN and need to know how to proceed with the appeal, including what documents to include and how to format the appeal letter.

I agreed to an estimate of $380.00 for installing a dryer vent and 2 water lines to ice makers, but received a final invoice for $1,157. The contractor claims the initial estimate was just an hourly rate and that I should have known the price would change. I disagree and would like to know if the lawyer will review the estimate and invoice documents attached, and if there is a fee required for this service.

I have been under suspicion (possible bad guy) since I arrived in Houston, and I have noticed that a car follows me almost every day when I go to work. I have expressed my concerns to my company and the Angola consulate, but there has been no change. What legal steps can I take to resolve or get to the bottom of this situation?
