I receive Social Security benefits and my check is deposited into a bank. I believe the bank is taking money that doesn't belong to them out of my $1,454.00 deposit, and I only received $556.00. What should I do?

Hi, I recently went to the dollar tree in Gilroy CA, bought 2 things, I swiped my card and after I walked out the cashier somehow got 50 dollars cash back for himself because I know I would have remembered doing so. I reported it to the bank and then this morning I called the store to verify if I had gotten cash back, because there is the 1 percent chance something else happened, and they are claiming now that there are now no cameras in the cashier area. I make decent money, so it doesn't make sense why I would go through all of this for 50 dollars and now they have given me the run around. You can't leave a message at their corporate office because the mailbox is full and I waited for what seemed to be hours on the phone waiting for someone to help me but all I heard was waiting music...I now want a settlement of 15,000 dollars from them because of the theft and their negligence to even supervise their own employees. What do you think?

I have been a victim of slander by a DC lawyer who publicly released legal documents on her website and discussed the case with the media, damaging my reputation. I want to take legal action but cannot afford the $20,000-30,000 in legal fees for representation. Should I file a grievance with the DC Bar Association instead, and what is the difference between this and hiring a lawyer for court representation?

I feel that my HOA has unfairly handled my ACC request. The colors I chose are within the community's guidelines. The issue arose when I wanted to paint my outdated brick to harmonize with my chosen colors. There is nothing in the standards that prohibits painting brick trim. The board voted down my request. Does the standard need to explicitly state whether or not one can paint brick on their home to be enforceable, or can the board simply vote down my request? The ACC has failed to enforce other standards like roofing and fence color. I believe the decision is personal because I resigned from the board and they are angry with me. I am upset and considering 'neighborhood justice,' but it is not legally binding. Do you have an opinion or suggestion?
