I received a parking ticket in Los Angeles for stopping in a red zone to pick up a friend. The ticket was mailed to me and cites section MC 80.56e4+ red zone. I need specific information to contest the ticket in my written response. Is the fact that I did not actually receive the ticket at the time a valid defense? I was pulled over for speeding and arrested because they claimed I was under suspension in Minnesota for a DUI in 2000. I have a CDL license since 2001 and this is the first time this issue showed up, even though I've been pulled over at least 6 times previously.
