I received a renewal of judgment from Law Offices of Harris & Zide regarding a past credit card debt. They first contacted me in 2011, and I sent a letter stating they were past the statute of limitations and requested verification of the debt. I recently received more letters demanding payment. I called and informed them that I believe they are trying to collect a previously satisfied judgment, providing the name of the other law firm. I later found out they requested to be changed to the current lawyer in 2014 and now have the renewal of judgment. What can I do to fight this, especially since I am almost positive I paid the judgment 10 years ago?

If I write an email to a judge listing the address of someone's family member, can I get in trouble for making a threat, even if the email is angry and implies potential harm?

I am working for a law firm as a Paralegal during the day and at a local supermarket at night. Recently, a customer slipped on a bunch of grapes in the supermarket, breaking a bone in their leg. The injured customer is also a long-time client of the law firm I work for. Is there any conflict of interest, and how can it be resolved?

My parents purchased a home in Chilton, County Alabama in '74 on a leased lot, but I wasn't able to locate a deed for the house. The land was purchased in 1991 from Alabama Power Company, and I have a copy of that deed. My mother transferred the deed to my sister in April 2000 after my father passed away. The legal descriptions of the property are identical on both deeds. My mother passed away in 2015, and I would like to know if the house is part of my mother's estate or is it automatically included in the deed my sister has.

I have a problem with the City of Berkeley (California) Forestry Department, which seems to be acting hastily regarding tree removal on my landlady's property. They did not properly notify us before planning to remove a tree. Is it possible to file an injunction to stop them, and can you help me with this?

I bought two Chanel bags online, paid cash to the seller, and found out they are fake after a month. Can I report this to the police or a detective even with limited evidence, such as text messages? Is there a statute of limitations, and would a consignment store's opinion on authenticity matter? The seller refuses to refund unless I provide an authentication letter. Can she demand this, and what kind of legal action can she take against me if I report her to the police?
