I received numerous restricted calls and unsolicited text messages for several months, which stopped after I confronted the caller. I later discovered that these messages were related to conversations between my co-workers. Is this type of prank calling considered harassment, and is there a time limit for reporting it? If I involve the police and a lawyer, what charges could be filed, especially if multiple co-workers are involved? Additionally, I was asked to provide my banking information for direct deposits, but I'm uncomfortable doing so after these incidents. Is there a law requiring employees to accept direct deposit?
