I recently bought a 2008 Mercury Milan from Summit Ford in Elbridge, NY. When I took possession of my Ford Certified car, I realized later the same day that the glass on all of the car's windows was scratched and could be seen quite visibly. I took it back to the dealer, and they said they would rub the glass out, but the windows are still scratched, and they will not do anything else for me. I was told it was a used car and I had to expect this kind of damage. What should I do?

Our dog was bitten by another dog while my husband was walking our dog on a leash on a public sidewalk. The attacking dog was tethered to a stake in a front yard and pulled the stake out to get to our dog. Our dog incurred puncture wounds to the neck and his ear was torn and required sutures. The vet bill was $383.55, of which the owners of the attack dog have paid only $50.00. We live in Henderson, NV, and the attack dog's family have moved to Boulder City, NV. Do I file a small claim in Henderson? I can't find a small claims court in Boulder City online. We have already sent a demand letter and it was refused.

My 2003 Windstar has not passed the emissions test due to a diagnostic problem. I took it to the dealer because the van has an emission warranty from the factory (it has 63,000 miles on it). The technician told me after I paid $110 for the diagnostic that the car has a vacuum leaking problem with the space intake that is not covered under the warranty. The estimated cost is $900, and in order for me to get a waiver for the DMV to renew my registration card, I will have to pay the first $700 to repair the problem, have the car retested, and if the problem persists, THEN I will get a waiver from the dealer. Is this accurate? It doesn't make sense to me...

I am 3 months pregnant and moved into a house owned by a friend's girlfriend. I paid a deposit, first and last month's rent, and security in cash/cashier's checks totaling $5700. Despite moving in, I found a 'notice to pay rent or quit' on the door, and the house is still listed for sale. I have no contracts or receipts for my payments, and now my belongings have been moved to another house and held for ransom for $3500. I am homeless and broke. What are my legal options?
