I rented a car from a car rental company at LAX airport and opted for loss damage waiver insurance. If anything happens to the car, my fault or otherwise, I walk away without any liability. Someone hit the car in a parking lot, and I filed a police report and notified the rental car company. The rental car company said they would investigate and claimed that someone said I hit them. My personal insurance company found that I was not liable but still paid to repair the rental car. At this juncture, is the rental car company required to return my deposit, not require repair through my personal insurance company as I am not liable, and honor the loss damage waiver insurance policy that I opted for? What would you advise?

My family went through arbitration over our dad's death due to surgery complications without legal counsel due to the MICRA Law. The arbitration was awarded to the HMO. We went to the California Superior Court to vacate the arbitration award due to misconduct, fraud, and deceit, but made mistakes and missed the allotted time of service. The judge gave a tentative ruling to quash/drop the case. Is there anything we can do? How many days do we have to respond to the judge's tentative ruling? Is there any legal help for families with limited funds? Can we appeal the quash or petition for equitable tolling? Can we sue the arbitrator for being biased?

I am going to be driving for Uber and am not very familiar with the traffic/driving rules in the US as I am fairly new here. I recently learned that an infant in the car should be in an infant car seat, otherwise, it is illegal. Is there anything else like this I should know?
