I signed an agreement with a business partner to front him $5k and provide marketing services in exchange for 6% of sales. He made one sale in two years and mismanaged it. I lent him additional money personally, totaling $19k. I discovered he was conducting business under another name, potentially hiding it from our venture. I took over a domain he failed to renew and replaced its content. I want to know my legal risks and benefits of taking over and monetizing the domains, given that arbitration in Texas would be burdensome and I don't want to sue him.
