I sold my deceased mother's car to my cousin for $2500 with a verbal agreement that she'd pay me $100 per month. It's been since May 2009 and she hasn't paid anything. Can I take legal action to get the money since the agreement was verbal?

If I do not file a response to a divorce summons, but everything is 50/50 to my liking in the paperwork, can a Judge change what she asked for? My spouse says I do not have to respond as it will only slow down the divorce.

I was doing a residency in medicine and left without a certificate. I am facing obstacles in my current residency and have proof of discrimination from some faculty members. My advisor suggested I have 95% of the job done but lack confidence for the second year. They are offering me 3 months of remediation with the possibility of a certificate afterward, but I don't want to continue in this field. How should I file a discrimination complaint?

I have a reverse mortgage, but the company bought an insurance policy, paid the taxes, and sent me a notice to pay $600 a month to compensate them or they'll take ownership of my home. My gross income is $754.00 a month, and I wasn't paying that much before they gave the mortgage. My home is assessed at $134,000, but it appraised at $100,000 when the mortgage was approved 3 years ago, and last year it appraised at $81,000. I'm on Social Security and 77 years old, in less than good health. What should I do?

Recently, my sons and niece were hit by a drunk driver. My injured son has major injuries including a fractured pelvis and broken legs, while the other son and niece have minor injuries. The drunk driver was charged with multiple offenses. We have insurance with AllState and State Farm, but the drunk driver's insurance limit is $25,000 per person or $50,000 total, which is insufficient for our medical expenses. We also have uninsured/underinsured coverage and health insurance. Given the complexity of our situation, what should we do next regarding medical bills and legal issues?
