I received a default judgment against me in 2006 for credit card debt in Texas. The judgment went dormant in 2006 and will expire in 2018. I received a writ of execution and now a notice of application for writ of scire facias to revive the dormant judgment. I was granted disability in 2008, retroactively to before the original judgment. I provided the sheriff with a copy of my disability award notice when served with the writ of execution. They placed a lien on a family property where I am named on as a Living Estate. How do I stop them from harassing me and what steps should I take?

How well do tape recordings hold up in a court of law and are there laws I need to be aware of regarding them? The tape recording was taken in a one-party state, Texas, but involves a trust that is held in Oklahoma. The conversation took place between two of the beneficiaries and was recorded by one of the beneficiaries. This recording proves the other beneficiary breached an agreement that we had in place and signed at mediation.
