I want to borrow on a home that was signed over to me last month without any money changing hands. My mother signed it over to me, and now I want to get a consolidation loan on it. However, the lenders say I have to have it in my name for at least 6 months before they can proceed with the loan, even though the home is paid for outright. Is there a federal law requiring me to be on the deed for 6 months?

We were hired to do work in New Mexico, and have not been paid for it. We worked for a company out of California, who worked for a prime out of Washington. I'm being told I have to file a lien or sue in New Mexico. Is this correct, and if so, can you recommend a good New Mexico lawyer in Gallup, New Mexico?

I am 60 years old and being demoted by my company without written warnings and with an excellent record of achievement. My replacement manager is younger and is pushing for my transfer or firing. Rumors suggest I will be either dismissed or transferred to a coastal site with no help in moving. What are my legal options?
