I was a member of a volunteer fire department in Pennsylvania until October 21 of this year. I discovered that the Association treasurer was writing checks for FEMA SAFER GRANT-related expenditures without prior discussion or approval. I brought this to the attention of the Association president and the Chief, leading to a meeting with the District Attorney, who has an ongoing investigation. Despite this, the treasurer was exonerated by the trial board, and I, along with the Chief and four other members, resigned. At the October 19th meeting, I asked for my resignation letter back but was told I would need to reapply and serve another six-month probationary period, which I refused. The Chief and another fireman were reinstated without conditions. Do I have any recourse?

I voluntarily resigned from my position at a state regional hospital for registered sex offenders. My resignation was accepted in good standing, and I was considered eligible for re-hire. After re-applying for a position six months later, I was not re-hired. Recently, I discovered that a former co-worker started a false rumor that I was writing love letters to a patient, which were only 'found' after I resigned. I believe this rumor has affected my good standing with my former employer and the community, potentially leading to my non-rehire. What are my options, and do I need to discuss this with a manager, HR, or a lawyer?

My brother got severely beaten at a group home where he resides. The incident happened on December 26. I want to know if anyone can be held accountable for this.

I have a contract for a subconsultant agreement in California that I would like to be reviewed. What steps should I take, and what is the fee for this service?

I stayed in a hotel and caught scabies, which I was diagnosed with at the ER the next morning. I want to sue, but I can't find a lawyer. Where are you located? These laws vary by state. I live in Santa Cruz, CA, but this happened in Roseburg, OR. How can I determine if I have a case and what steps should I take?

I have 4 timeshares at Hacienda del Mar in Puerto Rico, and I am struggling to pay the maintenance fees. I received a 'Denial of Use' letter and have not been able to use the timeshares for the past 3-4 years due to ongoing construction. I am in New York and need advice on the best course of action to handle this situation.
