I was a recent victim of fraud at a Citibank ATM in New York. I deposited a $1500 check for a man who asked for my help, but the check had been tampered with, was not made out to anyone, and was not endorsed. Despite these issues, the ATM allowed me to withdraw the funds immediately. I've filed formal complaints with Citibank, the OCC, and cfpb.gov, but the bank refused to reimburse me. What are my options, and is the bank at fault for not detecting these errors at the ATM?

I bought a car in North Carolina, but the seller didn't notarize the title. I have a bill of sale that we both signed, but I can't get in contact with the seller. If my ex stole my service dog from my home in Texas and drove to Oregon, refusing to return it after asking nicely, wouldn't she technically be withholding my service dog from me? And under Oregon law, that's theft, correct? Should I be able to call in for a police report for theft and then do a writ of retrieval?

My son was mistreated at a hospital in North Carolina after being given one blood thinner with an active blood clot. They tried to make him walk out on his own, which he couldn't do, and he was eventually taken to another hospital with DVT in his leg and both lungs.
