I was accused of offering to pay a female member to workout beside me at a gym where I have a daily fee privilege. The gym manager warned me that I could be kicked out if another complaint is received. I have no contract with this gym and was not told the identity of my accuser. What are my rights and what can I do about this situation?

I was in a restaurant business with my wife, where she ran the business and I constructed the building. She never paid the withholding taxes for employees, and my name was on the corporation. After she left, I had to close the business, and my building and home were foreclosed on. The IRS claims I owe them $51,000 and placed a lien against me. I am on Social Security and have no resources. Do I need an attorney to negotiate a settlement with the IRS, or should I try to do it myself? If an attorney is needed, how can I find a local one specializing in this discipline, and how can I check their record?

My daughter was transported via ambulance from one hospital to another in November 2010 due to a mental health issue. The ambulance driver recently asked her about the incident and her father's name, and we subsequently received a bill for the ambulance ride. Should we be responsible for this bill, and was the driver's inquiry a breach of privacy?

In a small claims court case where I sued a contractor for substituting cheaper hardwood, the judge denied my motion for a forensic examination of a fake receipt and later ruled in favor of the defendant without explanation. After appealing, the Supreme Court directed the trial court to consider my motion for rehearing. Does the order for rehearing mean only my motion will be discussed, or can I present new evidence and discuss the case from the beginning? Additionally, can I challenge the judge, and if so, how and when?

I am in the final stages of a complicated divorce. My husband is declining healthwise due to alcoholism, and his competency is slightly in question. My lawyer refuses to discuss an important document and is insistent that I take the current offer without explanation. He does not respond to my communications about it. I think the offer is technically fair but not great. Is it ethical for my lawyer to behave this way, and should I seek a review of the offer from another attorney before or after the pre-trial motion court date?

I received two separate citations in San Francisco for a single incident related to parking in a handicapped space. One citation was for parking without a disabled placard displayed, and the other was for displaying a placard when the authorized person was not present. Each citation had a fine of $880. One citation had the incorrect date. How can I legally fight these citations?
