I was charged with a drug distribution offense 15 years ago in Fairfax County, VA, under coercion by the police. I was forced to plead guilty by my public defender to avoid a 50-year prison sentence, despite never having sold drugs. The police officer coerced me into obtaining drugs for him by promising a job, and I was subsequently arrested. I want to clear my name and seek justice. What steps can I take to vacate this conviction, and is it possible to compel the officer to take a lie detector test?

I want to find precedent on a case I am appealing. It deals with business expedience. I was put on trial and convicted for not paying a $25 building permit. The contractor sent me plans to sign, and the checks were attached, all of which I sent in to the department. They received it, as they got the plans, but they lost the checks. Three months later I was informed. In trying to find out what happened with my contractor—who had not received the canceled check—an arrest warrant was issued, so I paid the $25, and was subsequently found guilty. I'm appealing and would like to present precedents that such business practices are insupportable.

A Texas moving company charged me about $2000 to move my furniture to Memphis, TN. They broke several items beyond repair, and now they won't settle because I don't have the original receipts or pictures of the entire items. I have pieces of the broken items and found pictures of the items online, but they won't accept that. I cannot get my delivery charge back nor be compensated for my house full of furniture. Can/will you help me?
